Poverty & Food Insecurity

The Diocese of Western North Carolina is passionately committed to alleviating the immediate needs of those affected by poverty and working to eradicate the interrelated and systemic factors that instigate this condition for so many in our communities and around the world.

 

In particular, our parishes participate in anti-hunger initiatives all across our diocese. From food pantries and community gardens, to soup kitchens and back-pack programs, the Diocese of Western North Carolina supports every effort to assist those in need.
