More than 85 parishioners gathered on July 16 at La Capilla, with fun, food, and praise. Father Miguel led with a prayer and greeting—We are one in the Spirit and one in the Lord.
The congregations of La Capilla de Santa Maria; St. Paul's, Edneyville; Holy Family, Mills River; and St. James, Hendersonville, played, danced, and ate together to celebrate the coming school year. Students and adults enjoyed a water balloon toss, drip drip drop, bubbles, chalk art, horse shoes, a Bible Quiz team competition and much more. Plenty of pizza and ice cream was available for the youth and all enjoyed extraordinary food provided by the members of La Capilla—Tacos dorados, rice, salad, spaghetti, tamales, fried chicken, and beans.
We were all filled with thanks and gratitude that we have such a ministry that celebrates our togetherness as one body under God.
