Weekly Checklist

All parishes in the diocese must complete the form linked below. We ask that clergy or senior wardens complete this form for your parish. We know this is a lot of information. Your participation will help us to communicate with you in the best way possible by keeping our diocesan database up-to-date and accurate. 

We are also asking ALL clergy to complete this form for our records.

All lay and clergy leaders are invited to join on Zoom for a monthly check-in chat about youth, young adult, and family ministries with Charlotte. These will be held by Zoom monthly on the first Tuesday of each month. This meeting is informal and intended as a way to explore resources, check-in with one another, and brainstorm new ideas for programming.

The Episcopal Church Women is partnering with the Cathedral of All Souls to host a special celebration in honor of the 50th anniversary of women's ordination in The Episcopal Church. 

On Friday, July 19, the cathedral will host a screening of The Philadelphia Eleven, a documentary about the women who challenged patriarchy, enduring harassment and threats in 1974 to become priests in the Episcopal Church. The Rev. Dn. Kelsey Davis will talk about the making of the film.

On Saturday, July 20, All Souls will hold a special Eucharist with the Rev. Carter Heyward speaking. Please stick around after the service for a special reception, fellowship, and a short video about the women priests of our diocese. 

RSVP for the Saturday event to Diane Mance by July 10 so we can get a headcount for lunch, mancediane40@bellsouth.net or 828-275-2972. 

All clergy are invited to join Bishop José on Zoom for a check-in chat at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 5. This informal Zoom meeting is intended for all those ordained and serving in our diocese to have time to chat with Bishop José about concerns, initiatives, and whatever is needed.

Bishop José will be available for one-on-one meetings with clergy once a month, either by Zoom or in person. These meetings are intended to give clergy a solid time to meet with Bishop José to discuss pertinent issues. Email Jess or call the diocesan office to schedule a meeting time. The last date for 2024 is Nov. 26.
